Thomas Friedman wrote an article in the New York Times this weekend entitled How to Get a Job at Google. He quotes Laszlo Bock, senior VP of people operations for Google, as saying “GPA’s are worthless as a criteria for hiring, and test scores are worthless.”
Bock recently interviewed with Friedman and said that “good grades certainly don’t hurt”, but Google is looking for much more:
