Sandbox Beacon Project Recognized in Bentley Article

In the Fall of 2017 and Spring of 2018, Sandbox tutors designed and implemented a research project on BLE beacons and the physical web. Organized by Sandbox Director, Mark Frydenberg and CIS student, Jake OConnell, the project culminated in a research paper for the annual ESDIG Conference. The paper won a meritorious paper award and will be included in an edition of the Information Systems Education Journal.

In recognition of the hard work from the CIS Sandbox tutors and interesting findings we gathered, an article was published today on Bentley‘s homepage. Check out the article here: https://www.bentley.edu/prepared/welcome-physical-web. If you would like to learn more about the beacon project, stop by the CIS Sandbox in Smith 234!
