Yesterday, on Tuesday November 2, 2016, we had our first event featuring Teslas. We hope we got your attention with the three cars sitting outside of the third floor of Smith! We invited Professor Fredkin, who served as the director of MIT’s Laboratory of Computer Science and Artificial intelligence, is a pioneer in robotics research. In 1967, he developed the first system with a computer controlled robotic arm along with a video input device for robotics research.
His presentation spoke about the progression from early cars to the smart cars that we have today. Superchargers are game changers when it comes to the Tesla, as there are free ones on the highway that can be used while you enjoy a nice break in your long drives. There are abundances of superchargers throughout the United States, Europe, and the Pacific Rim, which allow for users of all electric cars to better the environment.
All in all, this event was one of the most crowded that the Sandbox has ever witnessed. Many thanks to all of those faculty and students that showed up and listened to this talk, as we would certainly love to host many more in the future.
