Microsoft just announced that Windows 10 will include support for new authentication measures to allow for simple and secure logons via frameworks called “Hello” and “Passport”. Supported technologies include fingerprinters, facial scans, iris scans, near field communication, and more. While these logon methods were possible before with third party software, integration with Windows 10 and support for secure on-device storage of credentials will provide for a consistent experience across manufacturers.
