The latest news is not going to make Samsung fans happy because last week a judge from U.S. International Trade Commission ruled that Apple had not infringed four wireless patents by Samsung. Although the ruling is still subject to a review by commission’s other judges, it is not what Samsung expected. This is definitely not good news for Samsung, especially after losing another case in California last month. In that case, a jury said “Many Samsung products infringed Apple patents for several features of the iPhone, including its design.”
Despite the bad news, a Samsung spokesman stated that Samsung is still confident that the full commission will have a decision in favor of Samsung. He also said “We are proud of our long history of innovation in the mobile industry and will continue to defend our intellectual property rights.”
