\nOn Wednesday, Paul D’Ascoli, Education Account Execeutive at Apple, came into the CIS Studio to talk Bentley Students about trends in mobile computing, app development, and education. He mentioned how in only 6 years Apple has already paid out $15 billion to developers, uploaded over a million apps to the App Store, and have seen over 50 Billion+ app downloads. <\/p>\n

He illustrated how the writing is on the wall for the PC as we know it, noting that late last year mobile internet usage surpassed desktop usage for the first time. This doesn’t mean traditional PCs are dead by any means. It just another example of how the computing landscape is changing. The world is moving from desktop oriented to mobile first, and Paul demonstrated how Apple’s developer tools can help people develop for the huge market sector that is the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. <\/p>\n
